The first-ever Neurofeedback and Mindfulness Retreat, Mind’s Eyeland Time, is preparing for its maiden voyage on the Caribbean island of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands, March 12–14, 2021. The three-day wellness retreat is the first of its kind in many ways, being the first wellness retreat to combine Neurofeedback training, with breathwork workshops, and more fringe energywork practices such as Reiki and singing bowl soundbaths.

Campt St. John at Neptune’s Lookout (Susannaberg)

The ground-breaking retreat, taking place at Camp St. John at Neptune’s Lookout, is also innovative in the way it is offering tickets to the event. The limited-edition “NFTickets” are being sold as collectible, rare digital art with original soundtracks on the Ethereum blockchain that give the collector ownership rights, and the ability to resell the NFTs (Non-fungible Tokens) in the future.

Mind’s Eyeland Time is a retreat that is the first of its kind, combining art, technology and wellness into an extremely unique package. Over the course of the three days, some truly powerful presentations will be offered, and more details about them are below. A final workshop schedule will be released to attendees upon ticket purchase.

Moe Angelo — Introduction to Biofeedback, Neurofeedback, and Basic Energy Tools

An entry-level exploration of some of the most crucial core tools of energy work including diaphragmatic breathing, heart rate variability, existing in the center of the head, electromyography, Neurofeedback, the Energy Bar Tool, and the Living Body Map. Moe will also be leading daily Neurofeedback training sessions focused on training AlphaSMR brainwaves, or what’s known as “Flow State,” for VIP NFTicket holders. Moe is an internationally board-certified BCN Neurofeedback Specialist through the BCIA (Biofeedback Certification International Alliance).

Pat Anglin — Flow State and Performance

Pat Anglin is co-creator and lead fine artist for art installation collective Because of the Lotus, and is also a card-carrying PGA golf pro. Pat’s workshop is heavily focused on tapping into Flow State for two very different styles of performance — live painting at concerts, as well as high-level athletic performance. Pat will also be working on a painting throughout the retreat, that will come to life at night with Because of the Lotus’ unique brand of projection-mapped artwork, and each participant will have the chance to control the painting with their mind while wearing an EEG headset.

Randall Pires — Sacred G Breathwork and CryptoCurrency mining and the future of NFTs

Randall Pires is a giant beam of light, and has been on the forefront of energywork and technology for many years. We discussed Randall’s Sacred G Breath offering in detail in a previous post, but he is also planning a very special presentation on the future of cryptocurrency mining and Non-fungible Tokens, to help load up the digital ticket buyers with as much information and understanding as possible.

John Welton and Lyndsey Stropkey — music, singing bowls, Reiki and Yoga

John Welton has been crafting his unique brand of “Musical Medicine” for nearly 30 years, not only with his band John Welton and the Awakening, but also with his trusty Nepalese singing bowls ranging from 200–400 years old. Reiki Masters, twin flames, and musicians, John and his fiancee Lyndsey Stropkey, work in tandem to heal in many ways. Mind’s Eyeland Time VIP ticket holders unlock access to a private Reiki/Soundbath session. Lyndsey will be leading yoga, and together they will be presenting a powerful Mantra workshop that you can learn more about in their Heartist Feature, here.

Tommy Angelo — Mindfulness in Performance and Sustaining a Daily Meditation Practice

Tommy Angelo knows pain. He has also developed an extremely powerful, and easy-to-grasp way of dealing with it. Tommy traded in his professional music career (a profession often full of pain and rejection) for a professional poker career at the age of 32. For 13 years he played poker five nights per week, and scaled and spelunked every possible peak and valley of emotion that can come with such a volatile career. Through those highs and lows — the running good and running bad — Tommy developed a system of dealing with the accompanying stress, that he coined “Tiltless,” and turned it into a system of playing and coaching that has attracted some of the strongest players in the world of poker. He has written for Poker Digest, and has now authored five books that teach poker strategy from an angle of mindfulness, and monitoring one’s emotions through meditation. Tommy will be joining the retreat virtually for his portion — a conversation with cousin Moe Angelo about sitting meditation practice, and sustaining it daily. A digital copy of Tommy’s most-recent book, Dailyness: How to Sustain a Daily Meditation Practice, will be unlocked with ticket purchase of any level.

Point Wellness Aerial YogaBev is indescribable. The closest thing we can come up with is if you mixed a giant ray of sunshine with a rainbow (yes, we know that might negate the rainbow, but it’s the best we could do for now)! Bev’s Point Wellness is a staple on St. John, and she has developed a mobile aerial yoga rig that has been known to make appearances at the Neptune’s Lookout/Camp St. John property. We are elated to have her on board for this legendary inaugural retreat.
